Malkia is the Swahili word for Queen or Royal Consort.
Antique Venetian glass king beads, some with the eye bead pattern worn by kings and tribal chieftains in the days of the bead trade with Africa. They are hand-knotted with 8mm peach freshwater pearls and apple jade. The pendants are druzy quartz with ¹⁴⁄₂₀ gold-filled wire-wrap and 4mm orange freshwater pearls. The toggle clasp and findings are ¹⁴⁄₂₀ gold-filled.

Length: 18 inches. The necklace hangs at 22 inches with the pendants.
